Because YOU Rock: The Yara Fund

Hi guys. With Twitter and the Internet, I'm sure most of you know that the owner of Once Upon a Twilight book blog, Yara, lost her home, everything to a fire. She's an amazing gal, and even so, devastation of this magnitude should be felt by no one. Some amazing authors have banded together to help raise funds for Yara and her family. Every little bit counts. Here's the message from Yara's family posted on her blog:

"As many of you may have heard my cousin and owner of Once Upon A Twilight blog Yara, has lost everything to a devastating fire that started Friday, late afternoon. The fire engulfed a second time early morning on Saturday leaving nothing but ashes behind. Although, they lost everything in this fire, my family is safe and that is what truly matters. I am grateful today and thank god everyday that my family was not hurt, at least not physically. Newspaper with Full Story
I am touched by all the kind words and support that she has received this past couple of days and how everyone has stepped up and has voiced their support throughout the Internet and phone calls. This means a great deal to Yara and she feels so loved and blessed to have each and everyone of you."
Please go here to make a donation! Like I said, every little bit counts, and donators are also entered into a contest for a chance to win some amazing books and swag from some very awesome authors. Check out what Lani Woodland has organized below:

Where can I find your book? From the FAQ

I've gotten numerous emails with this question. And have also seen it mentioned here and there. So, I've decided to post the information from my FAQ. I hope this helps! Thank you for asking =)

First off. DESTINY'S FIRE will be listed everywhere ebooks are sold. It just doesn't have a pre-order feature. But it will be available January 10th. Here's my Amazon author's profile. It will be listed there soon!

It will also be available directly from my publisher's site on January 10th.

Can I purchase DESTINY'S FIRE at my local bookstore?

Yes and no. If your local Barnes and Noble doesn't have it in stock, you can order it from the counter and have it shipped to their store or directly to your home. As for Indie bookstores, some may carry it, but most likely won't. Less and less bookstores are stocking books as ebooks and discounted books online take over the preferred method of buying books.  DF is published through a small publisher, and this means unless it's in high demand and shows the bookstore will make a nice profit, they won't rent shelf space for it. This also happens to titles published through larger publishers. It shows where we are headed in the future as far as books. Sad, but true. I'm guilty of buying most of my books in ebook and online, too, though.
