Okay. Breathe

Yes. I know my blog is a hot mess. It looks like crap. I'm aware. I'm in the process of building a new, better site/blog all in one combo. But with three book projects going on, I think I might just let it go for now. Try to figure that out another day as it's 9:41 at night and I'm surprised I'm alive right now.

Since the announcement for FIREBLOOD went out into Publisher's Marketplace I haven't had a down moment. No lie. The response to that announcement has been so fantastic that I was literally in tears. I think my agent called me every thirty minutes with a new development and all I could do was scream and cry, and then hold my mouth and cry, because I had JUST had a root canal. But it was so worth the pain.



Let me give you some crazy exiting updates since my last post. Because, you guys! I have to tell someone. I'm bursting inside, and I just want you to know:

Agent was contacted by multiple (multiple! OMG not a few but more!) film agencies and/or producers interested in the film rights for not just FIREBLOOD but DESTINY'S FIRE, too. (It's a super long shot, but just the fact that they are reading material right now makes me freak out. In a good way ;)

The FirebloodNovels.com website launched! It's not much right now, but there's a home! You can sign up through email to get updates. And! Updates will be coming soon!

Spencer Hill Press has been simply amazing to work with so far. I've just had my first Skype meeting with my super editing team, and they fangirled all over the place about the story. Don't want to change but enhance! Which, all writers right now know the relief I'm feeling. I loved all their ideas, feel like they GET the book and the characters, and that's the best feeling ever. Their excitement for this project has me bursting all over the place.

The cover is already being worked on! The photo shoot is scheduled for the end of July, and there will be some behind the scenes footage! Yay! That is the coolest thing ever. I can't wait to see it and for the reveal.

Wow. I know there is more, but I've honestly been trying to keep up the word count through the day so my brain is a little gone.

I have been getting a lot of inquiries about the sequel to DESTINY'S FIRE. I want everyone to know that there WILL be one. There will also be a prequel book, ASTARTE'S WRATH. Just, it's been pushed back. I know! That's never a great thing. But please believe me when I say that it will be worth it. There's a lot of things going on behind the scenes that I just can't talk about, but I promise to give a full update when I can.

For now, the prequel and the sequel do not have a set release date. But as soon as I hear word, I will run right here to report. All I can say is that there are things in the works. Hush, hush stuff. And it's good. It's all good.

I'm so excited! I just had to update and share some of the good stuff. It feels like writers work and crawl and try so hard for so long, and we're so used to rejection and picking ourselves up, that when we actually should be celebrating, we kind of forget to. So I'm trying to do that now =)
